I was planning on getting a 6' BB and 6' brushhog, but the salesman talked me into 5' ones. He said the lift capability of the tractor would better suit the 5' implements.

Does this sound like good advice, or should I get the 6' implements anyway? I wont be doing a ton of mowing, so the extra foot probably wont make a ton of difference. But the extra foot of box blade might. I have about 1500' of driveway to maintain, so that extra foot might come in handy.

I could call him now and get the 6' BB...hmmm

I would consider the width of the outside of the rear wheels, and make sure the box blade was wider, otherwise you won't be able to get as close to objects as you might want. Same would go for the Brush Cutter as well. Wouldn't be able to get as close to a fence or tree as you might want to.

Just my thoughts, I have a Mahindra C4005DI, and a 6ft Box Blade, and also a 6ft Brush Cutter.

Congrats on your new machine.

Enjoy, Les

With 30 HP I would stay with a 5' cutter, but a 6' box blade .(my opinion)
