2014 Kioto DK45SE 1985 Deutz Allis 5230
As you know Ive been looking at these tractors. I didnt get the deal I wanted but still think I did ok. I got the DK45SE (geared) with loader, pallet forks, loaded tires, hooks on loader and service manual for 23500 cash. I also am getting free delivery and it will arrive sometime tomorrow afternoon. The dealer is about 50 miles from me. All in all Im happy with the deal. I will post pics after delivery. Thanks everyone for the input and help in making my choice. It had ultimately came down between this and a Kubota MX4800. Like I said Im happy with the choice and I think overall I did ok on the price, definately could have done better but he wasnt budging, well he countered my original offer and then I countered him in the middle. Still came out alot cheaper than the Kubota. Thanks again.

You got a great tractor at a price you were willing to pay. No need to spend any more time thinking about the $'s. All that will likely be forgotten anyway once that new shiny thing shows up and you take the first whiff of that new tractor smell. Aaaaaaahhhhh.

I think you'll appreciate some of the more deluxe features on the DK over the MX.I would suggest some Loctite on the threads of the bucket level indicator tube and nut.keep us informed how you get along with it and be sure to stop by and ask any questions if you have any.

It is being delivered tomorrow. I will post pics upon arrival, should be afternoon they said. I notice you just bought the same one but with hst. They seem to be pretty good tractors based on what Ive seen and read.

Here are a couple pics of the new ride. Note my dad admiring it. Got to use it an hour or so today doing some bushhogging and I had a couple dump truck loads of dirt I knocked down with the loader. This tractor is so smooth running, very impressed. Gotta get used to the joystick but I got more done with the loader on this one than the loader on my dad in laws Long 2460. The tractor is very comfortable. I will probably end up adding a canopy at some point to knock out the sun but other than that, no complaints at all. I ditched the factory toolbox and added one of those plastic ammo boxes from harbor freight in its place (I painted it orange). It would not fit with the triangle bracket there so I moved that the the roll bar. I will update again once Ive had a few more hours on it, hopefully this weekend but rain is in the forecast. Thanks again for all the input on these tractors. Very happy with my choice.

Before I made my final decision I had looked at it twice at the dealership and even though I sat on it there it didnt feel all that big until it arrived today. Man is this thing a beast. I guess because it was surrounded by about 8-10 other tractors made all of them appear smaller than they are. Now I know its really not that huge but man is it bigger once its all by its self. Were gonna add some work lights to the back and maybe a few other small details. One thing Im gonna do in the near future is make a cover for those quick connect hoses for the loader, they are pretty exposed. Ill take a pic of my new toolbox setup tomorrow.

That's funny because I told my wife the same thing and she really noticed when she was riding it around today.

I was really surprised at the turning radius for its size and I didnt even use the single brake pedals when turning. One reason I hated my dad in laws tractor was it just felt bulky, well this one is bulky but it handles like a small tractor. I love my lil 31hp Duetz Allis and could do all the big jobs I needed with it except loader work, thats where borrowing my dad in laws tractor came in. Like I said I had to spread some dirt. I had, up to this point, 27 dump truck loads that I spread with his fel and I would also use the box blade on my 31hp because I couldnt get his lift right on the 3 pt, I could raise and lower mine like a champ and his would come up way too high or go too low. I even tried to use his bushhogging once because his cutter was on his when I borrowed it and I parked his and got back on mine because it just didnt maneuver well. I can say, for me anyway, that for its size the Kioti handles very similar to my Deutz which I love. The downside is I dont think the Deutz is gonna get much attention now. Well it hasnt lately cause it blew a rear tire and havent ordered a set yet. As for the bucket teeth, I did some looking online and when I get my shop up I may just build my own. Im tossing up the idea anyway. Gonna see if I can get by without them until them, ha.
