I think I'm about ready to buy a set of Ags for the BX2200. But from what you all say, I'll never use the turfs again. So I'm wondering if it's cheaper just to buy the tires and not get the extra set of rims????????????????

Anyone checked that out?????????

The only up side for buying the rims IMHO is that I could add fluid to the ags and if I EVER needed a lighter machine, could mount the turfs again.

I know none of you have this issue, but $$$$$ for this is kind of an issue right now......

THANKS.

Ron,
Are the rims the same size on the turfs as they are on the bar tires? Somehow I was thinking they were different sizes(as in width)

I know the width is different on the L2800. I had checked to see about getting valve stem guards put on ay Ag rims and was told they weren't wide enough to weld them on. I looked at the turf wheels with the guards and could see the difference.

Yeah... we are all rich around here! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'm sure getting just the tires would be cheaper. There are some websites you could look at to get in the ball park. One that comes to mind is this one.

Ohhh yeah... if I was rich I wouldn't have a 16 hp tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

i am not sure about that tractor, but a friend of mine had to repalce the ag tires on his older b9200, he wanted to go with R4's but seems knowone made R4's in that rim size so his options were back to ag's or Turff's he went with turff's and i think he is a little disappointed. did u check into R4's or do you not want them?

The tires and rims are both the same size. It's not much extra cost to buy the complete set for the front, but the rear is another matter...

You will need the turfs if your yard is ever damp. I started with turfs, got stuck too many times and went to AG's, then found the AG's tore up my lower part of my yard too much. So I switch 'em back and forth as needed...of course buy the wheels and tires both. I picked up new AG's (set of 4, mounted) for right around $ 200 from a TBN dealer.

I paid around $280.00 for a set of bar treads & rims in Early December .

I think they list for $296.00 if I am not wrong.
