Is it a truly cummins built engine or just a lisenceing deal?

I suspect it's a lisence deal where they sold a design. Similar to how yamaha sold the rhino design to a bunch of chinese builders.

It's a license built Cummins, built by what was Kukje, prior to the acquisition and merger of Kukje into TYM.

We just call them an “8-3 Cummins”.
