Just got a 1988 2072 , $300!

Hello,

This was on CL locally and I tried to resist but its just too cool, had to have it! I dont even need it yet. Its funny im 43 years old and this is the first riding lawn mower I have ever owned :confused2:

Runs great, no leaks. The power steering works great, drives great, needs some TLC- needs a seat, battery, blades and 2 of the tires leak, I will see about all new tires.

Its missing the grille, but the grille frame and headlights are there. Maybe a paint job. Has a brand new starter. Deck is solid.

I hope to move out to my 8.5 acres in the woods sometime soon and will take the little cub with me. Anyone know how much this cost new?

I think the 2072 was $4200-4500 maybe a little more with the Haban deck. I bought my 1811 new in the fall of 89 for $3700 with the 44C deck.
