Well, new to me, anyway. But pretty darn close..
I had been looking for another tractor to bridge the gap between my wife's CS2410 and my old DK45 - something about 30 horsepower or so. Mainly to rake hay and do some bushhogging with.
One showed up on local online ad place, and I eventually went to look at it. It turns out this was the proverbial "owned by a little old lady that only drove it to church on Sundays" - except it was a little old man that disked his garden in the spring and fall.
It was purchased new in 2005 and had a total of 104 hours on it. Other than dusty, it was immaculate. The seller (the brother-in-law of the owner) had installed a brand new Deka battery and had to changed on piece of fuel line that had a small leak.
After a quick test drive, it ended up following me home on a trailer. I added a 5' bush hog that was discounted at the local Tractor Supply and now, lo and behold, I've got another tractor ready to go. I also used it to haul a few round bales to the cows (I make little 4' x 5' 600 lb. rolls) with a spear - worked great.
I've only had a chance to run it for a couple of hours, but my first impressions are very favorable. Comfortable, easy to operate, and powerful for it's size. The only thing that will take me a little getting used to is the 2-stage clutch. I'm just too much in the habit of clutching all the way down.
Anyway, this is far and away the newest "used" tractor that I've ever had. Looking at it, I have a hard time believing that this is a 13-14 year old machine. I don't doubt that I'll have some issues with dry-rotted hoses or something like that, but in the brief time that I've messed with it, I'm tickled with the new member of the pack.
Good luck and take care.
