Fester - welcome to the club, hope you have many happy hours tractoring in your future. Just turned 130 hours on mine and it just had its first birthday this past weekend, no cake just firewood.

I've had mine for about 2 weeks now and having a blast. I've already put 28 hours on it. It is awesome and does everything beyond my expectations.

I always tend to pick at things and find the little stuff that bug me. There are only a hand full of items so far and some I can change/fix.
1. I hate having to always fold the ROPs when parking it in the garage. If they would of made the ROP's 2" shorter it would fit without folding. When folded and I lift the 3 point it tends to bang into each other so, you can only bring the 3 point up 1/4 of the way. The 2" shorter above the hinge point of the ROP's would avoid this as well. I'm not sure If I want to make changes to the ROP's by cutting them down a bit and potentially messing with safety.
2. The foot mat I think is a really dumb design. I'm going to rip this off and put on Rhino Guard truck liner. Much better and you won稚 get the small rocks and sand underneath the mat making that grind and scratch sound on metal. It makes me cringe knowing my new paint is being grinded off under my feet. Over time with water trapped under the mat it will rust.
3. Speed control on the up for the 3 point. Have down why not up? When box blading I would like the up speed to be adjustable to make it slower so I can make minor up movements rather than the tapping the up. It seem to make a bit of a gear grind at time when doing this and can't be healthy over time. It might be my inexperience and I'm not doing it right. Is this an option on larger tractors?
4. The brake is sort of a pain and I wish there was an indicator light. I've already driven it a few times not knowing the brake was engaged. Just one of those items you got to get used too I guess.

Other than these little nitpicky things this tractor is awesome and I would would definitely recommend.

Lastly, It's been sort of scary driving my truck after being on the tractor all day. I tend to act like the truck has a rocker peddle and fumble around for the brake a bit before I get my senses realigned.

well I'm happy to see that the little things that bugged me this week end , also bugged others. I would also have added fender handles.
when looking at the rops,I als thought of cutting 3 inches off, but you'll end up with the upper rops in your forehead when you use the bh.
I was found that the seat mechanism was much easier to get use to then what I read on-line.
I think I'm going to wait a few weeks before sarting to modify the machine. I think my wife would kill me if she saw me put the grinder to it..

Also, I/m going to have to get some weights for the front, way to light with the bh on.

After a bunch of hours on the machine you get used to the quirks and they seem to be second nature, in my opinion at least. This was my first SCUT so I didn't know any better, but I wouldn't trade my GC for any other SCUT out there.

My thought on the 54" mower is that if can swing the extra $$$ for the 60 and clearance isn't a great issue I would go for the 60". Much easier to trim with under trees and such.
