Re: just got price for rear remotes. Doesn\'t seem righ

Last week while visiting the dealer where I purchased my remotes for $732.00 I was met at the door by my favorite salesman. The first words out of his mouth were "Boy you stole those remotes. We had a price increase memo come out a week before you bought yours and we didn't pick up on it. My boss was ready to shoot me when the bill from NH showed up." I just smiled and said "I'm sure you will get it out of me some how" We all laughed and started talking rotary cutters. He did mention the price for two would have been over $1.000.00

get this, I spoke with a guy this week end that just put a rear remote on a piece of equipement that he had. It cost him $49 for a generic stackable value. We are getting the shaft!

Re: just got price for rear remotes. Doesn\'t seem righ

I have no way of knowing if this is the case, but it seems suspicious to me that the NH remotes were so much less than Kubota charges for theirs. It would appear that NH has decided to bring their prices in-line.

I guess I'll have to quit bragging about them. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I would like to know exactly what a generic stackable valve is. I have never seen or heard of one until now. More details are needed (tractor make, valve mfg and model) before I can believe anything.

Both Kubota and New Holland use custom designed valve block assemblies for their remotes. There is nothing generic about them.

I think you are jumping to a conclusion. I have 2 rear remotes (max possible) on my TC25D and the NH kits are a lot more than just a stackable valve. I've seen people try and avoid buying the OEM remotes and jerry rig their own solution and, IMO, even the best jerry rigged solution looks, well, jerry rigged. The jerry rigged solutions involved a lot more than just a stackable valve. Lot's of hoses running all over the place. Granted, the Class II remotes are less than the Class III remotes, but there was still a premium for them.
