Just got back from the local dealer and looked at the 2815 HST. He had it listed for $15,995 with 111 loader- I figure I can get it for $15,500 maybe. Seemed to be a nice machine. One thing that sticks in my mind was the rear axel. That was the first tractor I had seen with a rear end made that way. I'm not sure I like it. I assume the big saucer shaped cast part below the main axel cast is where the disc brakes are running. Other than that, I liked it. I like how the loader control is on the fender and loe loader hydralic lines are protected within the loader arms. The dealer was telling me about a feature on the PTO where if the hitch arms are raised while I was running my finish mower, the PTO would disengage? Does this sound right? I don't think I would like that, maybe I misunderstood him. As soon as I get my Yanmar sold I'm going to get serious. Probably going to be the 2815 HST or the Kubota L2800 HST. I will have to drive tham both. The 2800 seemed a little more robust than the 2815, but there is only 50lbs difference in weight. I have to get my Yanmar sold - I'm getting impatient.

I have a 2810 and it to will disengage pto if raised above a certain height. This is a safety feature but my 2810 has a manual override, so you can keep it running if you want to. I think it would also stop if you have it in auto if you engage the clutch. My mahindra dealer reccomended leaving it in manual run, keeping from engaging and disengaging. I'm not sure all dealers would say this.

I think the setup on the 2815 is similar. It disengages after a certain height as a saftey precaution for your equipment and other people in the area. I can see how a mabual override may be needed. Posthole diggers come to mind. I try and buy the pre-ug ones when I can though... :D

There is a three position switch which stops the PTO to stop when the arms are raised. Or a manual position where it will run whichever position the arms are. There is also a off position.
