well after looking around for over a month at different lawn tractors i went tonight and bought a 2006 1042 cub. as soon as i got it home i tried it out wow! i was very impressed its a big difference from my craftsman i have. the 19hp kohler starts right up without the choke after the first start and its not as loud as i thought it would be /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif the hydrostatic drive is great it pulls up hill in my ditch great with no trouble at all i love the ideal of backing up without shifting gears /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif the electric pto is very nice and smooth. i tried out the dack wash after i was done and it did a nice job on the side the fitting was on but not as good on the side without the fitting i may look in too getting another fitting for the other side. the dash is nice as soon as you turn the key the battery meter shows up with how many volts and then shows the hours. i also got the heavy duty front bumper for it wow it was a snap to put on it took all of 5 min to put on and made a big difference in the front end apearance and gives a lot more protection. i am very happy so far if you cant tell and i will post some pictures of it when i get a chance. thanks to all for the good advice on the cub's i looked at the deer, toro, white, troy, husky, yardman, and none of them came close with your advice. oh there is one thing i dont care for the headlights stay on all the time if anyone has added a headlight switch fill me in on some info thanks.
