Kubota L3700
New to the tractor world. I just pulled the trigger on an L3700. Can't wait until its here!!

I'm gonna be using it at my new home in Greenback, TN. We have 5 acres, mostly grass with some sloping hills. However I will be mowing with a hustler zero turn.

I plan to use the kubota to maintain the gravel drive and I will be building a barn and some out buildings in the next year. We also have 18 wooded acres elsewhere. I plan to use the tractor to periodically clear it.

I used this site to help me purchase. I got the tractor with R4 tires and a 7x16, 7k equipt trailer for $20k. I could have saved a few hundred at Barlows, but I prefer to spend my money locally, if I can afford to.

I am very happy with mine. Get a 60 inch rotary mower (Brush Bull, Bush Hog etc.) for it. I had let some fields go for a couple of years and the first thing I did was brush hog them and I cut down some pretty big saplings and only had to replace the shear bolt twice.

Congratulations on your new tractor. Just one suggestion, I got tired of changing shear pins years ago and now use slip clutches exclusively.

Check out the brush bull (various sizes) and a grapple if you have woods. I purchased the very heavy duty Brush Bull 7200 for cutting down saplings because I know by experience that the cheap stuff will not hold up. I didn't even know what a grapple was and now it's like I wouldn't know what to do without it. If you have woods of any type it's almost an essential. I was recommended ANBO because of their quality and it's great. If you do decide to order one...make sure your tractor comes with the 3rd function valve.

You're going to love your new machine!

Woods makes very good mowers and I agree the Brush Bull is a good one. We own Woods as well as Land Pride. Over the years I have used many different brands and types. Decide what you will be doing the most and choose your cutter accordingly. I have found the medium duty to work best for our conditions as the heavy duty ones I have used did not have the tip speed to do a good job on grass and weeds while the light duty wouldn't hold up to heavy use. Medium duty is rated at 2 1/2" stuff, but will cut bigger if you don't do it all the time. It will still give a good looking cut on straight grass and weeds.

As to the grapple, yet something else I would like to have.

Great tractor good price. When you start clearing some of that 18 acresyou might look at a tooth bar for the FEL.
