I have just bought a used LK3054. I believe it is a mid 90's model. Does anyone know how to tell? It is in good shape. The throttle lever is loose and will not hold the RPM's up. I think I can fix that easily enough. It has a Great Bend 260 loader, R1 tires and a new King Kutter RF-60 rear mower w/pneumatic tires. I purchased it for $7500.00. It has 506 hours on the meter. Seller said he had just had the clutch replaced and both front tires are new. Current owner purchased from a nursery where it was used for a lot of loader work. He used only to landscape around his new house. I am very pleased with what I have seen so far though I have not got it home yet. I drove it at the sellers sight. I do have several questions.
1. Are there any problems with older LK3054's that I should look for or expect?
2. Is there a place on line where I can get a owners manual? Or can someone fax me a copy of the critical pages? i.e. fluid change intervals, grease fitting locations, fluid types, etc.
3. Same for the Great Bend loader? I am not sure how to remove it and the seller had never taken it off either.
4. The mower has pneumatic tires. I am going to use it to mow some rougher areas and I am not sure how tough the tires are?
5. I need a 5FT box scraper and I am thinking of the KK unit from TSC. Does this unit have enough weight or would you recommend another brand at a comparable price?
I just sold my Kubota 3010 last week and I chose this tractor as a replacement. My 3010 had a LA482 loader and a BH BX72 scraper. I kept my KK 5' brush cutter. Some are thinking why? Well the Kubota was too big to mow my yard anymore and I had already sold my LP FDR2572 rear finish mower last year. I have built decks, sheds, planted trees, driveways, so forth and so on and I could not maneuver the GST tractor around without doing damage to the yard with the loaded R4's....plus I wanted a lower cost unit to just bush hog and move dirt. I am going to buy a small mower so my wife can mow around the house this summer since will be too busy anyways.
I am very excited to get this tractor home and get some time on it. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I can start bush hogging my fields because of commitments. Look forward to hearing your replies. First time I have posted to the Kioti site. Thanks again. A new old Kioti owner /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
