Forks just received a set of Paynes Forks

Hi Folks,
I thought I'd bring this topic back. When I saw this topic come up few weeks ago I went to the website & looked at the forks. After looking at forks from other companies I decided to go with Paynes.
My need was to be able to move logs upto 30" diameter & 16+ feet with my JD loader backhoe.
When I called to order I spoke the owner of the company I think Bob Payne. He was full of information about forks and answered all my questions. He suggested the forks capable of lifting 6000 lbs. as they were a good match for my machine.
Anyway I got them last week & immediately mounted them onto the loader. They clamped on easily althought they are a bit heavy at 250 lbs each. From there I went over to get 2 logs from the pile. It went great I just jostled the logs a bit & got 2 onto the forks and drove off. Later I used them to dispose of the slabs & moved the milled lumber for sticking.
My impression is that they are well made and will hold well. I think I'll need to be careful not to bend the bucket but I see that as the only problem that may arise.

I checked out the website too. Good looking stuff. There is even a clamp-on receiver hitch. Neat idea, but at $100 it seems a little overpriced to me.

I looked at their website a few months ago....I was wondering If there is enough space to fit over a toothbar....or exactly how much space do you have to work with?

Can you use just enough down force to so that you can get under and lift out patio blocks and concrete blocks that have sunken down into the ground?
I wouldn't think that would take very much down force at all.

I took up 3 side walks that were made with 2'' thick concrete patio blocks.
They had sunk down into the ground to where the top of them was slightly lower than the ground around them.
I used the BH but my thinking is I could have done the job with the payne forks instead-am I rite or wrong on that?
