Just received my new M9960 with 10' Land Pride

Well I have been without a tractor for some time now and I finally jumped in head first into a new M9960 with a Land Pride RCF 3610 shredder. I took delivery Friday afternoon so Friday morning I shreded around the house. What usually took 8 hours with a 6' shredder, I did in 4 hours with the 10'. I had a 2007 L5040HSTC that was a nice tractor but the short wheelbase and small tires made it rough riding on my pastures. This 9960 is like a cadillac compared to the little 50 hp that I had. Thank everyone for the comments and answers to my questions that I had a while back. I did look at most all of the other brands and I could not get away fron the orange. now if I didnt have to work so much to make the payments, I could work it from dawn to dusk around the farm.

Congratulations on your new tractor. I run a M8540 HDC with a Woods DS1260 pull type and it surely covers more ground and is more comfortable than my L5740 HSTC with LP RCR2672, but lots of times the GL is the way to go.

Would love to see some pictures of your tractor and cutter.

You will need to click on "Go Advanced", scroll down to "Manage Attachments" then "Add Files" then "Basic Uploader" and you should then get a "Browse" button, select it then hit "upload".

Please post pictures! Lots of them. Inside and out! And please give us a real world review (fuel useage, ect) after a couple hundred hours.

My dealer bought a years worth of 8540/9540's before they were all gone so who knows when I'll get to see one up close.

Yeah, take pics and give us a useage report. I came very close to the 9960 but finally found a 9540. I'd like to compare the two. I'd really be interested in fuel useage but that's very hard to compare. 95% of my useage is at idle or slightly above. I've been using just under a gallon an hour. I probably won't be doing any work at PTO speed until next year but if I do I'll check it.

I agree with you concerning ride and comfort. I went from an L4400. I went up to the M9540 chassis primarily to get the larger tire size for stability and comfort of ride. It paid off.

Whatever pictures you take, I'll try to duplicate with my tractor so we can compare and look for changes.

I purchased from Farm Country in Sulphur Springs.
I have had good dealings with them on 2 previous Kubota purchases.
