Hello all,
Just got back from the JD dealer, where I test-drove a 2520 FEL/BH. There is no doubt in my mind that the 2520s are hands down a better machine than the NH T1110 I looked at on Friday. So here is the "no haggle" price:
Machine: JD 2520
Year: 2008 (would need to be ordered)
FEL: JD 200CX (49" bucket)
BH: JD 46
R4 tires
Front brush guard
Power beyond hydraulics (obviously)
Approximate price: $23,000 (w/o 7% NJ sales tax).
So far, the financing deals are as follows:
1. 0% for 42 months
2. 4.9% for 48
3. 5.5% for 60
4. 5.9% for 72
5. 6.5% for 84
As for financing my purchase, I've been told by other tractor owners that tractors don't lose as much of their valve, as say cars and trucks do, so going with a longer finance term isn't really that big of a deal. They basically say that with tractors, it's almost impossible (unless you trash the crap out of the machine) to be "upside down" with regards to how much you owe versus how much the tractor is worth. Is this relatively true?
Does this price sound good or should I shop around a little more? To be honest, I'm a little hesitant to shop around because this dealer seems to have their act together, they're relatively close and the sales staff is real friendly.
Now on a side note, I have a line on a used 2007 2520 with 24 hours and just the 200CX FEL. The dealer wants $15,300, plus shipping from Wisconsin to NJ. He also has a used 2006 2520 with 116 hours, the 200CX, plus a 62D drive-over MMM for $16,900- again plus shipping. I think the price difference between the new one I was quoted today and these used machines wouldn't be much by the time I add the 46 BH to the used ones and get them shipped.
Any help or input would be great!
Thanks,
Ryan
