Recebtly been searching for the best deal on a new or used square baler and 70+ hp mfwd cab tractor. I have run across a new JX 85 with bush hog loader sitting on a struggling dealers lot. His first price was $37,000. I'm sure I can do a little better than that. I cannot find this model on the Case IH site to get the specs. I'm assuming they do not make it anymore. Where might I find out the specs on this tractor. I'm particularly interested in weight, lift capacity, country where it's built, etc.. I'm comparing to Mahindra 7010 cab.

I found an '05 catalog. JX 85 w/ MFWD and a cab, no loader: 6,915 lbs.

Case's LX232 loader lifts: 2400 lbs.

Doesn't state origin of eng. manuf.

I bought a "05 JX 75 in summer of '06. Platform. MFWD paid $26,350.

That's about it.

The engine is likely Iveco, the tractor is either Italy or Turkey.

Well, I happen to have an 05 JX85. It is exactly the same as the current JX90 so have a look at it's specs. They changed the numbering but the specs are the same. The 05 JX85 has the turbo motor with 72 PTO HP. I paid $36K for it in Feb/05. It has the CaseIH LX132 loader and cab / radio.

the Iveco 3.9L (If it is in the tractor) was designed by Cummins as part of the EEA European Engine Aliance. It's basically a 4BT Cummins made in Italy. The Tractor should be made by Turk Tractor in Turkey

I have a 06 JX95 and love it.....not so happy with the Case IH dealer support; I've been burnt by 2 out of 2 dealers so far. Moral of this story is make sure you have good dealer nearby; I wish I went with the New Holland TD95 (same exact tractor but blue), there are more NH dealers nearby for me.

am in the same boat as rokhead, good tractor, terrible dealer support. My decision to buy hinged on a dealer being close, but as I've come to find out, dealer support is spotty at best.

I ended up with the Mahindra 7010 cab. Knew the dealer and support system so why change? It's a little smaller tractor, but the heaviest thing I do is 4x4 rolls.
