K & M Low- Profile Mechanical Seat Suspension

Just installed a K & M Low- Profile Mechanical Seat Suspension Model# 6081 from Northern Tool.
It works great on the PT425. Makes the seat a few inches higher but it rides much better.
Added high is not a problem.
I can still lower it by drilling two new holes in the diagonal support 1 down and remounting.
I had to install it upside down to make it fit better but it still worked fine.
MUCH nicer driving around without feeling like my kidneys are under attack.
I was surprised!

Have one on my Yanmar. Could use a little more travel but definitely worth it.



It does rise you 1"-1 1/2" but I had to fab things differently anyway so I took that into consideration ..

My three power-tracs have suspension seats with the effort and expense.

I lowered the seat platform on the 425 when the suspension that was too high for me.

If you do that remember the pt oscillation in addition to the articulation. Leave space to clear the filler cap.

And watch the space between the back of the armrests and the engine compartment on the PT425. The factory seat arm rests can rub the front of the engine compartment in full articulation/oscillation. It's a pinch point. Hard to believe they can touch, but these machines are as slinky as a cat.

One other thing is if you try to lower the seat height it will hit the hydraulic tank cap. .... ask me how I know.... jim
