I lived in Iran, mostly in Dezful, while in the Peace Corps. 1972-74. A long time ago. I used to be able to get along in uncultured spoken Farsi pretty well but I'm afraid that is gone except for a few phrases. I met many nice people while living as a stranger in a strange (to me) land.
Looking forward to your tractor experiences.

Right now I work with Artawheel Tire Industrial Complex with Goldstone brand name, we produce some sizes of agricultural's tire.

I have work as different positions in Tire Industry of Iran for more than 30 years, and my last position is M.D. Consultant of Artawheel Tire Industrial Complex with tire brand name of "Goldstone", we produce all types of tires in Iran, our factory located in North West of Iran in Ardabil city near border of Azerbaijan.

While I was living in Iran almost everyone who could first afford an auto drove a Paykan. Paykan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I thought they were nice autos. Peace Corps volunteers were not allowed to own an auto or drive but I did manage to sneak in a 50 km drive in a friend's Paykan.
