I need your opinion on the Kubota 3300, I'm looking at one and need to know the pros and cons. I don't know the year but it has 760 hrs. a few spots on the fenders where rust is starting, no oil leaks minor paint wear at foot positions.I'm goung to talk to the salesman Fri and I want to be as informed as possible. you guys have informed my about what to look for in a used tractor and I will have that with me.also I am trying to update my profile but not having any luck yet.The tractor will be used for general purpose on 20 acres of flat 60%wooded land and with helping a plow truck in snow removal and removing snow banks in northern Mich. Thanks in advance....Nick Kosan

Just go to Control Panel at the top of the page. Click on it, and about half way down the page you'll see Main Configuration. To the right of Personal information, e-mail, password is the word edit. Just click on that and you can add/delete anything you want in your profile. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

You didn't tell us as to the transmission but they are both good that they used in those tractors. The Glideshift compared to the new ones is a little slow when cold but is a great transmission. The new model or current one that replaced it is the L-3410.

You may also want to look at the web site equipmenttraderonline.com (which is a sub-area on the traderonline.com site) and search for "Kubota" within the state or region that you live, or search for or "L3300" in the entire US. This will give you an idea of (1) availability of other Kubota tractors in your area and (2) going prices of any L3300s of various locations in the US.

You don't mention whether the tractor you are looking at is 4x4 or not; hopefully it is if you are going to plow snow.

Re: Kubota 3300

I have a L3300/481 loader with about 600 hours on it. Only had it about 2 months. Dealer resealed the front transaxle and added grease zerks around the area where the axle pivots? New tires, new seat, etc. No leaks and the thing runs great. 1 month powertrain warranty. It has GST which is nice but I don't think it is a must. The shuttle is an absolute must. I'm starting to trust the parking brake but do wish GST would engage a gear when the tractor was turned off. Since purchasing the neutral safety switch has broke and the solenoid that shuts off the tractor using only the key has failed. Tractor is perfect size for about 20 acres, especially if you have trees to maneuver between. Paid 12,900.
