kabota b6000 with woods belly mower

While on a hunting trip I found a B6000 with a woods belly mower. It all worked fine but while attempting to get the tractor unloaded the front PTO touched the rail on the trailer and now wont engage. Its getting voltage , wire connected , took it apart and cleaned it . NOTHING ! I slipped a screwdriver between the front plate and main pulley to space it, now the magnets WILL engage put it wont spin the blades . THE wife is not happy about me buying another tractor that needs work . PLEASE HELP WITH ADVICE !

Is this the "mule drive" style PTO with a belt that makes a 90 degree bend around a pair of pulleys?
If yes, then disconnect the belt and see if the electric PTO pulley spins when you switch the PTO on.
This will help isolate the problem to either the electric PTO, or something downstream in the mower drive line.

Thank you for the idea , not sure what a mule drive is but I will try the disconnect thing. It makes sense to do it that way .Will try monday and let you know !

Good luck and I have my fingers crossed that your electric PTO is in good shape. Our B5100 has one that wore out the splines on the shaft and I'm in the process of cutting and welding replacement splines onto the shaft and crankshaft pulley as parts for ours are near impossible to find.

I have 4 john deeres , Im giving one to my daughter for a house warming gift . One is in the shop ( F525 ) waiting for a wire harness $ 500.00 , just sold my yanmar 146 . Bought a kabota l 3400 in Feb. and love it. Ran into the b6000 this month while in W.Va its in great shape and the owner put new bearings in the Woods Mower before I bought it. It ran great until it pushed up against the ladder bar on my trailer which caused it not to work .Im on a 48 hour shift this weekend but tomorrow I will try your advice, its gotta be the magnets and the gap between the pto and plate .
