Chip E-mailed today. He's getting ready for assembly on my new KAMA 454 (45 hp/4500lb). He's inspected and cleaned the fuel tank.
Now the options. Transmission. On this load that Chip just received, one of the KAMA 454 came with the "creeper" (16x8)option. The regular is the Shutle shift. (8x8)
The issue is how she goes from forward to reverse. The creeper has the reverse shift on the Hi/Lo lever(off set path), where the Shutle has a straight back and forth on the geer shift. Also, the creeper has this Hi/Lo to the left freeing up your right hand.
I like the idea of getting extra options but, I don't see any ground engaging equipment in my future except grader blade/yard box. I will have a FEL on most of the time and a BH on occasion. If the shifting for forward to reverse will be a lot more effort then.....
OK, One more. FEL bucket size. I must deside 5' or 6' wide. The loader is the Koyker 195. I supose if the bucket detaches with out much effort, getting around in tighter spaces won't an issue because I'd just leave it off when not using it. The KAMA is 5' at the front and 6' in the rear.
Thanks for any input, he starts Thursday!
