Hi,
I need some help here with figuring out where to add grease related to this little sign on the right side of the flywheel housing (I think that's what it's called)...I'ts the housing right behind the engine but in front of the transfer case.

There are 2 rubber plugs and a sign that says to "pump grease into bearing periodically" What are they talking about?
I'll attach 2 pictures for anyone who knows.

Isn't that where the dry clutch assembley resides? Is there supposed to be grease or oil in there?
Thanks,

There is a zerk fitting inside on the slide for the throw out bearing., it will work best with a rigid grease gun. This greases the slide for the throw out bearing to travel back and forth. don't overgrease it or you will end up with a lot of grease in the bellhousing (it would take a lot to get enough flying around in there to get into the clutch, but you dont want a greasy mess if/when you split the tractor.

Thanks Chip,
Do I access this zerk through one of those holes covered by the rubber plugs then? Is that correct?

yes, should be the plug by the little sign that says to grease here.

Chip is correct. Pull the plug. I used my little pen light to see.
I did use a flex line but it would be much better with a rigid type

What about the rubber plug to the left of the one where the grease nipple is? Is there anything in THAT hole to grease? You can see it on the attachment in the very first post above.
Thanks,

Another question about greasing...
My KAMA book tells me there are supposed to be 4 grease nipples on the brake, clutch shaft assembly but I have yet to see them. I was told there may be greaseless bearings there, but I could not swear they are greaseless on my tractor....look like they need a zerk fitting. Am I looking at the wrong place or something?

Also, is there supposed to be a grease nipple on the rear hubs somewhere? Someplace to lubricate the rear axle bearings or something?
Thanks,

nothing behind the other plug, just access inside the casting. No grease to rear axle bearings, they are massive roller bearings and lubed with the rear/trans oil.

There used to be zerks on the brake linkages, but recent tractors have not had them. The tractor comes with a grease gun with a pointy needle to lube these areas, but I agree a zerk would be better...

Hmmm, I didn't get a grease gun...nor a tool box of any kind, or any spare parts. I even asked for the front ballast weights since they come with the tractor but never got those either. I know I don't need them with the FEL, but wanted to make fishing weights for my wife's coy pond.

What about those nifty looking front fenders on some of those internet pictures I saw? they look pretty cool.
