What do these to tractor have in common if anything? I think i like them both but only just learning about them. I really like the Kioti's but these tractors MUCH less coin. I am looking for a 30ish HP tractor. Thanks

There is no comparison between a Kioti and any Chinese tractor that I have experienced so far. A new CK30 Kioti shuttle shift with loader will be roughly $15K, a new KAMA TS254C with loader (similar size and engine displacement) can be had for arount $ 10K or a little less. the Jinma is usually a little less than the KAMA.
The Kioti has more than twice the warranty and is needed less, a fully synchro shuttle trans, tilt steering, a great 3 point set up, shiny smooth paint, even on the engine! etc. A real dealer network. This is comptitive in quality and features to any major brand in my opinion.

However, as you say, it is more expensive so comparing the KAMA and JInma (I sell both, Kioti too) do sell many more Chinese tractors than S. Korean tractors, mostly due to price.

The TS series KAMA has a beefier chassis than the 200 series Jinma, especially the front differential, important for heavy loader use. The engine in the TS254C is a Y385 same as used in 25/38HP Jinmas. Some importers have sold this engine as 30HP, claiming dyno tests, I don't know and I call it a 25HP. The KAMA shuttle is now under the steering wheel on TS series and is very easy shifting, much more solid feeling than the Jinma shuttle and you still have 8 forward and 8 reverse. OR you can get a creeper and have 16 forward gears on the KAMA TS series. The steering cylinder is mounted high on the axle on teh TS also. Draft and position is standard on the lift.

If you compare to the Jinma 300 series, the chassis is comparable, the 300 series Jinma is not available with shuttle OR creeper, as far as I know, just 8x2 gear trans.
The KAMA TS254C and TS354C have similar features to LE version Jinmas (spring seat, cluster guages, wrap around headlight, etc.).

The new KAMA TS354X has the EPA approved engine that Jinma 300 series is using (35HP TY395), but does not offer the shuttle under the steering wheel yet, it is on the trans as prior TS series was.

This is getting long. so if you have specific area you want more info it might be best to PM me or we can discuss it here and I will try to stay to the point...

You answered many of my questions. I need a creeper gear or hydrostat for tilling work, so the kama sounds better. There are no Kioti dealers in my area (Northern IL) so i am looking into what it takes to be a dealer. How did you get involved in becoming dealer? How long have you been doing it. Any advice you can give me on what questions to ask? A bit off topic but since you said you are a dealer i just thought i would go to the horses mouth /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Thanks for the info.

I have a Kama that I just bought a month ago and so far I love it, don't know too much about tractors but I am extremely happy with it. I heard a guy say on this forum that they run like a sherman tank, and it sure does. And the price I paid for a TS354C (35hp) was amazing . 6000.00!!! I will be happy to answer any questions that you have about it.

Where did you get your Kama? I dont see any dealers on web searches. Are they like the jinma's where they ship them to you in a crate?

Thanks

I bought it from Eastwind Tractors in Vestal NY, on the Pa border. I steered away from the crate tractors though. Yes you can purchase them like that but you get no warranties like a dealer would offer. Plus I hear it takes several hours to assemble them. Dealers generally assembled, the crate tractors seem to come from the importer. Its worth a 10-20 hour drive to save that kind of money . here:: .http://eastwindtractors.com/

The eastwind site only shows a bulldog tractor.

I went past their place last week, and they had some red Kamas outside. Best to call and talk with them. I am curious on the pricing quoted to OH. A know of a couple of people that indicated they thought East Wind was high. I suspect, but do not know, that "distance" sales might be considerably cheaper. Since he is a NE distributer, suspect local pricing is set higher to not under cut the retail outlets he distributes to. Worth indicating you are from IL.

I notice that they only have the Bulldog on there as well, he does sell the Kama though, and I called him about something else earlier today and he sells the TCS354C for $7500 off the lot. I bought mine off e-bay and won it for the 6k that I mentioned, might want to check e-bay.
