Hi:

I don't have a 2520 with a BH, but I have a 3720 (had a 3320) and a 2305 with a BH6000 backhoe.

Even my 2305 with the BH6000 does a respectable job with a BH. I've dug out stumps and gone through (with difficulty) frozen soil to get to my septic tank in the winter. The Specs on the 46 backhoe are a little better than my BH6000.

Also, the 2520 has 400psi more hydraulic power, and about twice the hydraulic flow of my 2305 so it should be pretty quick.

I'm sure Chris2520 will chime in here but I think you'll be fine unless what you want to do with the BH is beyond the 46 BH. I guess what I'm saying is that if the 46 BH is big enough for you I'm sure the 2520 has more than enough power to run it for you.

One note though, if you plan to mow you need to remove the MMM brackets on the 2520 in order to mount the BH. You do not need to do this on the 2305 (260 bh) or 2320. So if you plan on Mowing also with a MMM this might be a pain.

Karman , the 46 hoe and the 2520 has plenty of power. you can dig a good honist hole 6 1/2 to a little over 7 foot depending on how you postion the tractor. down here in GA we have the hardest soil on the planet. pure clay like concrete , a fel is almost useless for digging. the 2520 and 46 hoe go's right through it no problems. i have dug stumps rocks. and all sorts of stuff.
and all i ever did was bend a tooth. this weeked i used the hoe to tare down a five foot cement block wall. it peals cement block apart like paper. power is not a problem with the hoe or the tractor. your only limitation is your digging depth. sitting flat on all 4 tires. you get about 6.7 feet flat bottom. if you lift the front of the tractor up about 10 inches and leave the back on the ground. you will get about 7 1/2 foot. that is the max. i have never had any problems digging out anything. if you got the time ;) . Everyone will tell you i love mine.:p
if you want more hoe. you got to go to a 3000 serie and a 447 or 448.
about 33,000$ . i think you would be pleased with the 46 hoe and 2520.;)
Good Luck.

Chris...:)

I had a 4115 w/46 hoe (older relative of the 2520) and I felt it worked fine. I am sure a bigger TLB would dig deeper and faster but that isn't what I needed. I sure miss that tractor...
