Kawasaki's new Teryx 750 wraps the driveline of the Brute Force 750 ATV into a sport utility side-by-side aimed squarely at the new Polaris Ranger RZR. In addition to being able to run, the Teryx also has work potential with a 500 lb. payload and 1,300 lb. towing capacity.
The Teryx (T-Rex maybe?) is a side-by-side utility vehicle capable of pulling 1,300 lbs. and carrying 500 lbs. in its cargo box and racks. It offers a full 2-inch receiver hitch for work, (unlike some other "work" utilities out there) and backs up that claim with Kawasaki's proven Brute Force 750 engine and transmission.
While performance figures are yet to be announced, we understand those who enjoy such things wouldn't have to hang their heads in the presence of other recently-released performance utility competitors. The Teryx's growl comes from a single-overhead-cam, 749-cc V-twin engine that boasts four valves per cylinder for efficient breathing when pedal and metal come close. Power flows through Kawasaki's continually variable two-range transmission and flip-of-the-switch 2WD or 4WD selections.
Well-sprung with 11.2 inches of ground clearance, despite it's slithering appearance, the Teryx 750 has independent front and rear suspension and stops at the command of dual hydraulic disc brakes on the front and a sealed multi-disc wet-bath rear brake.
The Teryx comes in two trim levels, standard and LE, with a top-of-the-line NRA (National Rifle Association) promotional model in camouflage and NRA badging. Colors include Sunbeam Red, Woodsman Green and Realtree camo.
Prices range from $9,700 for the base model to $10,599 for the LE version (top and half windshield) in the standard colors. A camo unit will be $11,049, and the NRA model stickers at $1,349.

I think the author got it wrong, this seems to be more in the class of Rhino and Prowler, not RZR.
I also think it was a very clever marketing plan to co-brand with the NRA. There is a strong correlation between people who enjoy hunting/shooting sports and those who would be in the market for these vehicles.
