Reese,

Not too many Mule owners in this forum so far. Not sure why but be patient, I am sure more will be coming. Just so you don't feel too lonely, I had a Mule 3010 as of July of this year. I loved it but I sold it and moved into a RTV. There are other forums out there that have more Mule owners posting. I will private message you with those links.

I use the 3010 Diesel and really like it. I looked at the RTV and loved it too, but would have had to pay around $1,600 more for it. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif So far I've added a 2" lift and 27" Kevlar-belted run-flat tires from Essex (very easy install, ~1 hour) and a Ramsey 3000# wireless winch (also an easy install). I'm using the mule to get around on our place in the Texas hill country while hauling around a generator, wire welder, chainsaw, etc. in the bed.

Has anybody added a turbo to either the Mule Diesel or the RTV yet ?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is that "Kawaski" Mule a new import from Poland? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Reese, there are lots of Kawasaki Mule owners on TBN. It's just that this forum has lots and lots of RTV owners. Kubota's introduction of the RTV has been unbelievably successful, but it's only been around for less than a year. The excitement is still at a fever pitch with many of the new owners. Kids always get all the attention. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Jim,

And who wouldn't be a proud Daddy. Heck, my RTV's already been named "Kubaby" (K-Baby). /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi, I have already taken the responsibility of trying to turbcharge a mule diesel, and the results are not good /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
The main problem is the compression ratio which, on the mule is almost 25/1 that is fine for a naturally aspirated diesel but something like 17-20/1 is usually the normal compressions that can be used with a turbo. Don't worry though it is possible and does not require any machining to the clyinder/head of any kind. What can be made is a very thin iron or aluminum spacer for the head, you would have one head gasket on each side of the spacer to lower the compression. The best turbo for this application is most likely the Garrett Airesearch GT-15 or20 series turbocharger, these are actually made for motorcycles or other small displacement motors, on the 953cc mule engine they would probably boost up to about 20psi and take the power from approximately 25-30 hp and 75LBFT of torque to 50-55 HP and 120-130LBFT of torque!! That would be awesome! I really want to hear a mule with that combo and maybe just a 4" 3into1 exhaust I think because of the 3 cylinder inline design it would sound like a cummins 5.9 or 8.3 Inline sixes. Just plain raunchy!!LOL /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
