hey guys plan on getting a new tractor in the next month or two. not sure which backhoe to get.. just wanted opinions on the kioti and the woods. price, capability, taking it on and off, etc. the stats seem pretty similar except the bh6000 only has a 150 degree swing and 4 inches less digging depth, is it any cheaper though? it's going on a ck20 too. thanks!!

I have the KB2365 on my CK20HST and can't say enough about it. It is amazingly powerful and easy to take on/off. If you don't have the tractor firmly planted and hooked to something like a tree or truck, then it will pull it along like a ragdoll. I have the 16" bucket and wouldn't want any other size, it seems to be the perfect match for it.

I have dug up some monster stumps with it too!

Stump 1 Stump 2 Stump 3

Is the woods backhoe a curved boom? That is the only advantage I could see. The swing angle and digging depth are big factors and easily put the Kioti unit ahead.

The Woods 6000 is no match for the Kioti 2365.
Have you looked at the Kioti and the Woods in person yet?
If you are buying the tractor for the backhoe get the Kioti and if price is not a issue then get the Woods 70X.
If you are only going to use it once and a while than the Woods 6000 is a good enough backhoe and it should save you a couple of dollars.

Have you seen the new 2465 Kioti hoe?

Also, the Kioti backhoe has over 600lbs more digging force (2,875 vs. 2,200), higher loading height (63.6" vs. 54.5") and only weighs 55lbs more (785 vs. 730). Plus the swing arc of the Woods is only 150 degrees as opposed to the Kioti's 180 degree full swing.

On occasion, I have forgot about just how far this thing can turn and accidently started digging right under the stabilizer foot.

The Kioti wins hands down! The KB2465 has a curved boom but is slightly less powerful than the straight boom 2365, it is probably must faster with it's higher operating pressure (2,466psi vs 2,000). The Woods operates at just 1,780psi.

The Woods 70-X does look like a much stronger unit and closer to the specs of the KB2365. I wonder what the price difference is...

IIRC when I bought mine the price difference was around $1500 or so. It's a substantial amount of change but I felt it to be worth it for the extra depth, reach, digging force and most importantly, the availability of a factory thumb. A downside is that the 3-point lift arms cannot be removed after the Woods subframe is installed. Not sure about the Kioti backhoe.

IMO, the Woods BH600 is not well matched to the CK20. It's a better match for a subcompact like the Kubota BX series or the JD subs. For the amount of money spent on a BH I think the KB 2365 is a lot more BH for the money than the BH 600.

All good info! Does the subframe stay on the tractor? With my KB2365, the subframe is attached to the backhoe and it all comes off with the backhoe with the removal of two pins. Here is a picture of the unit off the tractor, I remove it to put on the rear mount snowblower.

The whole subframe stays on the tractor when the BH is removed. Tomorrow I'll take a couple of pics and post them while I have the BH removed and my box scraper installed.
