My son has been shown how to operate my tractor and is getting better with the loader every time he operates it. He even had a safety course in High School He keeps asking his mother when she is going to give it a try? she says whenever dad, (me) will get off of it long enough, and show her how everything works, she will. Well I gave in and showed her now she wont get off. She spent 2 hours on a leftover gravel pile learning how the loader works. My son, a friend and I just got out the lawn chairs and cooler and watched. Oh well, I'll just have to by another.:D

I'll never have that problem. My spouse does not come down to my farm "because there's no toilet". There are plenty of trees and I supply a shovel. It's been that way for 15 years with only a day trip each year. She keeps asking when I am going to build a house rather than the caravan. I never get around to it...... I'm not completely stupid!!:D :D

The kid's (30 & 28) go down with their friends and survive so it can't be too bad.

Time to buy her a tractor of her very own.:D My wife learned to operate one raking hay while we were still dating. She has had her own ever since and has a new cab one coming this week.

I married a pre-trained tractor operator. My wife came from a family of 2 boys and 11 girls. The 2 boys were the oldest. They were married and left home when Leigh was a little girl. She became her dads "3rd son". She spent a lot of time on a tractor, cut and hung tobacco, put up hay, took care of baby pigs, and even helped her dad change a clutch in his old Oliver 66. She can back a hay wagon into the shed on the first shot. There's a BUNCH of guys that I know that never could master that feat.

By the time I got ahold of her, she had all the "I want to drive the tractor" out of her system.

My 2 daughters wouldn't get caught dead on a tractor these days, even though they loved riding on them when they were little.

My son is addicted to diesel exhaust and dirt like the ol' man!

My wife doesn't even care much about working with the loader or hoe yet. She just like to drive around the yard on the tractor during those time when I want to be play....err, working with the tractor
