Keepin\' it clean

Now here is (are) the question(s):

How many of you wash your tractor ?
How many of you wax/polish your tractor ? Preferences?
How many of you cover your tractor ? (What do you use to cover?)

Re: Keepin\' it clean

I cleaned and waxed it with canuba wax when I first got it. That allowed a thorough going over, and got a good protective coat. Hasn't been cleaned since, but it stays looking nice.

Re: Keepin\' it clean

Don't wax, never will, unless I get really bored.
I wash it off with a water hose after the job is over.
The new tractor stays under the cover of the barn.
So does the 286 Bush Hog. Everything else stays outside and around the barn, that will change when a bigger barn is built. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Keepin\' it clean

I never waxed or polished mine (although I think it's a good idea), but I did wash it frequently, and I didn't have to cover it because it was kept inside my shop building.

Re: Keepin\' it clean

I wash it when it's done a dirty job. Probably wax or compound it this year, since I'm thinking about selling or trading it (little bit more PTO HP and dual stage clutch or independent PTO).
Did wax it once, last year...when I was doing my Explorer. Reckon I had too much energy (actually, was a beautiful day just to be outside)

Wash with Zymol Auto Wash, wax with Zymol Cleaner Wax. Website is www.zymol.com I got hooked up with the Zymol line because I have a black over silver F250 SuperDuty and black paint can be challenge to get the perfect mirror finish.

Re: Keepin\' it clean

The dealer put some kind of shinney finish on it when I bought it. I was mine with the pressure washer and the pressure turned down to a reasonable level. I park it in my garage. If you are interested in a Tractor Bye Net Best Buy on a pressure washer here is the link. I recently purchased this pressure washer and it is WELL worth the money and is a good quality pressure washer. Comes with an AR pump, stainless wand, 8 nozzles, 50 ft. of hose, 3500 psi, 4 gpm, 13.5 hp Robin/Subaru engine, $749 delivered, no sales tax. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Keepin\' it clean

Wash and touchup paint on tractor and all implements regularly, wax occasionally, keep tractor and all implements in garage. The only time it gets rained on if my a** is in the seat, headed for the garage.

Re: Keepin\' it clean

I haven't washed or waxed mine yet, probably should however. Kept mine covered with a tarp before we got the shed.
