Tires Keeping air in small front tires

When I first got my 2305 in 2005 this happened once to one tire. I've never had it happen since. I probably run max pressure all the time and to be honest I probably don't check the pressure (unless it looks low) but twice a year or if I look and it happens to look low (not often).

I do keep it inside (50 degrees) in the winter, the first couple of years it wasn't in so it did get cold. Not sure if heating and cooling helps ride the seat off the rims on those small tires.

On drag racing slicks, we coat the inside of tire with Dawn dish soap before mounting. That slows down thye amount of air that leaks through the side

I have used the dishwashing soap with some sucess. Found the off the self designed products worked better for longer periods.

One thing that I have learned from running reduced psi in mud tires is that grit will work it's way into the bead area especialy when the tire flexes and the bead starts to open up. The only real solution here is to unseat the tire clean and reinstall.

I had the same issue with one of the front tires on my 4300, which has pretty significant sidewall cracks. It would go completely flat overnight. I used the loader to lift the front end, put some Slime-stuff from another manufacturer in through the valve stem, spun the wheel by hand a few times, and haven't had a problem since.
