Keeping drivway weeds down

I've got quite a bit of gravel surface around shed. Lots of little weeds are coming through. I'd rather not spray, even though I have a little ATV boom sprayer. Is it feasible to scrape the drive a few times a summer to keep the weeds out? If so, what would be best: some kind of drive scraper/leveler; landscape rake; an (inexpensive) box blade (i.e., $400, 6 ft)? I have not had much luck with leveling with a rear (Non-hydraulic) blade or FEL, much less a front blade.

I have always found a rake to be quite effective on my 1000ft gravel drive, but it does tend to toss the occasional piece of gravel.

I can keep the weeds in my drive to zero with a York rake and about 4 trips up and down per summer.

Has anyone ever over limed to point the PH is high enough nothing grows in that spot?
