Keeping implements outside..keep away rust?

If I had to make a makeshift shelter, I would get some warehouse racking, which is always around cheap, and start with that. Maybe clad it with pine. One friend has been through so many of those cheap portable garages, it's ridiculous.

I have been considering building something to store buckets.

I had someone ask me this a couple years ago, but not about tractor implements, but about a classic car.

They moved to another state, but they didn't have the funds yet to build a garage/poll barn. They didn't want to rent a storage locker either.

I suggested they build a box -- yes a box -- out of pressure treated 2x4s and marine grade plywood.

Long story short, they offered to drive me to their new home and build it for them.

I basically built a wooden box (shaped just like a shipping container, but made of wood), with a wooden floor and a door. Total cost was about ~$500 for everything.

Supplies I used:

~10 sheets of marine grade plywood
~15 pressure treated 2x4s
3 door hinges
1 padlock hasp
1 padlock
5 lb box of decking screws
~3 rolls of vinyl fascia/trim wrap
~5 tubes of silicone caulk

Took us like 3-4 hours from start to finish. Never leaked and keeped mice and other nuisances out.

They were so impressed with it, they kept it up for another 2 years after their new structure was built. They then took it apart and used the materials for other projects.

How did you erect 10 sheets of plywood with 15 2x4’s?
