Ken- I've got all four tubes ordered that run from the 'Joystick" to the front ports, (under the Right foot rest). Seems the plastic block that holds them together under the footrest, also holds 'salt-laden' slush from previous snow plowing! Looks like the block might have loosened enough to allow one of them to rub against the block mounting bolt, and wore through a line! I'm going to repace all four! I know that the wheel/tire, has to come off, and the fender! Do I have to remove the whole seat assembly again like I had to with the 3rd SCV install? Or can I do it from underneath? TIA ~Scotty

That is a bummer Scotty:mad: I can sure see how those clamps could do damage if one came loose though.

I think you may be able to get to everything from underneath-but I am not 100% sure...tight space under there for sure! I think you are venturing into uncharted territory so take some pictures and keep us informed please.

The rest of the story..You can get them replaced with just the Tire and fender off!! No Pics, though..........sorry! Hardest thing is trying to match up the tubes in the right order! Working from the back to the front! Got three in place, then, had to 'backtrack' and do it again!! All back together I found that the Loader raised on forward, and lowered on 'pull back'!!!!!!!!! I just changed the QD's! Yeah, I cheat! Oh well! I'm up and running!!!!!! Just bought a JD550 tiller for the 4200, Man that thing 'kicks-butt' in the deer plots!!!!!! Best regards!! ~Scotty

Just another quick note for the group: I know, (after being a JD owner since 1972,) that JD Equipment is A) Expensive, and B) Expensive! And parts are, yeah, "expensive"! But that said, their units really perform! My latest E-Bay purchase that I had to drive 480 (round-trip) miles for, was a 550 Tiller for the 4200 CUT. I know that there is 'loyalty' to the 'Green-Paint' that your going to pay for! I'm not a JD agent, only a loyal 'believer' Their stuff really "does the deal"! This tiller is awesome! Raw-ground to plantable in a heart-beat! We use ours for deer plots! Rocks, stumps, etc., ground to planting.. and ,well you know........! Not saying that the Orange , Blue and Red paint can't do the same . Just realating my experience. Parts? I'm still buying them out of their catalog for a 1947-"M"......'nough said!
Regards from Western New York! ~"Scotty"
