Helped my wife's 80+ year old aunt with a tree that had fallen on her neighbors lot. I used the Stihl, she used the Kobalt 40-volt electric chainsaw. She ran both batteries down. Said she didn't know when she had that much fun. I'm still having stamina problems from the COVID and that lady worked my tail end off. Ended the afternoon with my wife and I sitting on the ground watching her happily cut and carry chunks to a burn pile.
My mother was the same way into her nineties. My 75 year old sister and 60 year old sister-in-law are the same way too. Put them outside working in a garden, yard, or anything else and they will keep at it all day long. Sister has switched to battery powered outside tools because she had trouble cranking the gas powered ones.
I did send a video of the aunt cutting up parts of the tree to her daughters and got return texts chewing me out for "encouraging her". But I think they are really proud of their mother. This is the same lady who has babysat all of my grandkids. Not many today even know their aunts and uncles and mine have been babysat by a great-great-aunt.
