Kidney Donation

My BIL just entered UVA hospital today to donate a kidney to a friend. Has waited 10 years for this to finally happen. Wish them both the best of luck.

Your BIL sounds like a VERY GOOD man. It's one thing to be scared sh*&tless because you have no choice, it's another because your doing it to help someone else.

Best wishes and let us know how he does. My cousin recieved a kidney about 5 years ago, he is doing fine and works every day.

Interesting thing about Kidney transplants, the doner has a much tougher surgery than the person getting the kidney. Also, the recipient starts feeling so much better soon after the transplant.

Everyone is fine and both have returned to work... just can't shovel snow yet. Local newspaper had a story about it.
