Kids and tractors

all of my granddaughters love my tractors. They start out on the Cub Cadet lawn tractor then they like to drive the 3016.

Here's my 9 yo. I pick her up from the bus at the end of my long driveway and she drives it home. I usually ride with her on the fender but I let her take it for a solo run today. Notice the backpack she's still wearing, It helps her reach the pedals.

My 15 yo has used it helping me move dirt and rocks. She's pretty good with the bucket now.

My daughter loves to drive around the field. She's 5.

This was just a photo op, she always wears her seat belt when it's moving. I've got a video of her driving all over the field but don't know how to attach it from my phone.

Riding on the fender is a terrible thing to show a 9 year old. One wrong turn and she can run over you. I have a friend that was severely injured in this manner. Bad memories for the driver and my injured friend

My boys are 12 and 13 years old. They're getting tractor lessons finally. I would have started teaching them much sooner but didn't want to run afoul of the Safety Nazis we have these days.

I started my son at eight,but it was an open field . I also did not ride on the fender

at idle speed, on flat ground, and me holding onto the rops and canopy, I wasn't concerned.
