Kids Today?

What a difference watching all the kids disrespect the police, burn police cars, burn building, loot, kill people, attack people for wearing a hat and on and on.
Then I watch several of the same aged kids on these farm shows on you tube working their behinds off from sun up to way past sundown on their family farms. I've got to be honest with you if it wasn't for watching these kids I would give up all faith in humanity only being brainwashed with what the news show us.

I worked hard for over 50 years with little time off for any relaxation or vacations but I will admit these kids outworked me. They certainly restored my faith in this world

The problem is fewer and fewer kids are made to work and do chores.

When I was 12, (58 years ago), my dad took me to a farm during haying season and made my work there for two weeks. I used to use the phrase "stupid farmer"...and that cured me and my ignorance. The old guy could not afford a hay conveyor so we had to hand stack the bales in the barn, moving the bales up in tiers.

Hard work is a good thing and there is little of it being done by youngsters who waste their time on iPads and "smart" phones.

There was the funniest (saddest?) pole taken of young kids in NYC. Asked if education and healthcare should be free. All said yes, and when asked how it was to be paid for, they said taxes, except the last young woman that said Taxes and the rest of it by Government!

What about the grown adult men who had to fight the police in the late 1800's and early 1900's because they wanted to unionize the coal workforce?

My only point is even though something may seem black and white, normally it never is.

Heck, I lost faith in humanity for the way some people treat their own pets.

I don't think in the age of man you could ever find one generation saying that the newer generation is doing things better

Tarzan ran around half naked, Cinderella stayed out past midnight, Pinocchio lied, Snow White lived with 7 guys, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove 200 MPH, Popeye smoked and had tattoos, Pac-Man ate pills to enhance his performance, and Scoobie & Shaggy always had the munchies....

How were the American Indians treated on their homelands? How were Blacks treated after they were "free"? Yes, much to reflect on......
