I'm looking at this cultivator which is also under private label Countryline from TSC. Has anyone used? I'm looking to pull behind my 48HP compact tractor. I'd be straddling two rows, so will need to adjust tiles. Looks like it's about 50in wide?

I don't think that well work, even you set your 3pt way to one side. Just not enough adjustment to do that.

Looks like it might work if you can get enough adjustment in the placement of the tines to miss the crop rows. Looks like you would end up with a three row cultivator as you would be doing two rows plus a half row at each side?

Edit: Not sure why you would need to adjust to one side though I may be missing something.

"I'm looking to pull behind my 48HP compact tractor. I'd be straddling two rows" His quote, and its a one rower.

I think this design has been used to mount something like an Earth Way, Cole, Covington planter in the center area between the 2 swept back arms.. This likely needing a homemade bracket of some kind.. I would try it if I got a cultivator for cheap..

If you need different spacing on cultivator tines... Drill mounting holes where you need them.. Move, take out, add extra tines as required for your needs...

Many possibilities, with a little imagination..

I was lucky enough to get one of these at an online auction for $140. Tine spacing is super adjustabe, and I can't believe how well it digs.

Yes, it's called a one row but that is a bit of a fallacy because, even in it's normal configuration as shown in the link, it will cultivate two rows with one pass with the tractor straddling one row. Depending on the row spacing, a smaller tractor would straddle one row and cultivate between it and the row on either side of it.

The OP's tractor is larger and more than likely could straddle two rows as he suggests, again depending on row spacing. Even with a fairly wide row spacing of, say 30", he could cultivate in between those two rows as well as in between the next row on either side.

Edit: Just to be clear, when using the word "row", I'm referring to a row of plants rather than the area in between the plants.

If he gets it I would like to see it set up to do 2 rows. I just don't think it well work for him, maybe we well see. Sure he can set it to go down the middle of a row and that is it. Those thing are not hard to make and for less money and have a nice 2 rower.

How far apart are the rows?

You can probably find an old 6 row rear mount cultivator and cut it down to 2 rows if that is truly what you want. You would have a much better piece of equipment for a lot less money and you would have scrap to sell or inventory.
