I just saw a King Kutter 4 FT brush hog on Craigs list for 300.00. It did not fit another tractor and they are selling it. Never been used. What is the quality of King Kutter and I would assume that 300 is a good deal. Any thoughts?
I purchased a 4' King Kutter brush hog from tractor supply last week. I paid around $700 (Plus tax). Pros - cuts great. Cons - thin metal. The only concern I have is how long it will last. $300 is a bargain, I would buy.
The price is right. ($300) Question is, what sort of condition is the mower in? If "like new", jump on it. Money is money. Buy a new one and in an hour's use, it's a used mower too. If that model mower is adaquate for your needs, why not save $300?

I like to pay half or less on used implements.. perhaps a lil more if really minty or really never used. If that 4' hog is really new, and the bearings and seals are good.. 300$ is kind of a steal..
Buy it. I have a five foot and paid $700. I like it. Never sheared a pin but it does have thin metal. It will last many years. It is not heavy duty, but unless you use it daily, you do not need heavy duty.
Just bought a 4ft last week also from TSC. I don't mow real heavy stuff and for that it works perfect. I also think the metal is a little thin but I keep inside and wash it after every use so I hope it lasts me awhile.
