I purchased a KK 5' Finish mower Used. I set it up for it highest cut, and it scalps the ground. Has anyone else had this issue? I don't see any further adjustment of the arms that hold the wheels. i can mow with it, i just cant drop it all the way down on the wheels, i have to hold it up with the 3 pt hitch.

You didn't mention any wheel collars for height adjustment in the wheels. A lot of times when you buy used equipment the owners have used the wheel height adjusters on other equipment.
Do you have any of item #18 on the mower?

You can find them at any Tractor Supply location or agriculture parts stores.

Hope this solved your problem.
If not, there should be anti-scalping rollers on the bottom of the deck you failed to mention.

The parts shown under number 18 are on the wrong side of the mount for raising the mower. My 72" mower doesn't have any anti scalp rollers, and cuts excellent.

Item 18 can be installed on either side of the mount.

I also purchase a used KK 5' last year; an older side discharge model.

All my 4 tires needed new inner tubes before I could use it. My KK also has the front mounted anti-scalp roller. Besides tubes, new blades, a lot of grease and modifying the PTO shaft length to fit my tractors, the only thing I had to adjust was the front wheels to knock the arms in closer to the body of the mower to clear my rear tractor tires. The mower actually mows pretty good. The height adjustment on mine uses collars (or washers) to space the wheels up and down. I'm not sure of the actually measurement but mine cuts the grass at about 1.5"-2". My mower floats over the ground on the wheels & roller when needed. My tractor only pulls it with no pressure on my lift arms unless transporting. My chain attached from my top link to the rear of the deck is loose when sitting level, so that the mower rear can pivot up and down on my lift arms when crossing hills and valleys. I try to set my lift arms on level ground so that the wishbone attachment is level so that it can also pivot up and down with the terrain.

When your tractor and mower are sitting on level ground with the mower lowered down, does your mower wheels hold the mower above the ground about 2" at all 4 wheels? Rear deck chain loose? Lift arms at double wishbone connection level? Pictures?

Thanks for the info guys, i have the spacers placed to keep the deck at it highest position. I am not sure about the chain and the float of the deck. I will check this when i go back to the barn.
