I have a two-part question.
1. My KK tiller shaft is about 2 inches too long for my 7610. Is is possible to cut the "tractor" side of the shaft only or do I need to cut both (I know I should do both but wondered if it is really necessary for 2 inches).
2. If I do need to cut both, how the heck do I get the shaft off the tiller slip clutch? Do I need to remove the entire slip-clutch assembly where it appears to be clamped onto the tiller? I did figure out how to get the PTO guard off.
3. (And you thought it was only a two-part question) How hard are these to cut? Do I really need to take the implement side of the shaft off and put it in a vise to do it??
Thanks. I really need to get the garlic field plowed.
