I just got quoted a price of $1,095 for a 5ft king kutter tiller on the phone from a TSC that is pretty close to me. That seems like a good deal to me? What do you guys think? I forgot to ask if it will fit a JD4300?

Thanks,

Eric

I often use a KK 5' tiller on my 4310. That isn't a bad price but is about what I would expect to find around here. Perhaps $50 less than regular price.

You probably won't find much cheaper anywhere and if it is local, that makes a big plus to me.

I bought the 60 incher. It's a good tiller, built like a friggin tank. I've hit all sorts of nasty things with it... You might want to look around for a 10% off coupon for TSC. That's what I did, I managed to get my for $950 or something (I know I paid well under one grand), I haggled a little bit, since it was in the off season. Good price for the tiller either way, the gear box is VERY durable, just take the time to fill it with lube and grease it well!

Well we got one (paid in full)... King Kutter II. It is the 4 foot model (we have a 28 pto) so decided this one would be better on are JD 4300. It is 600lbs, has 6 flanges and 36 tines. They said they would store it for us until we get our tractor. Food plots here we come!!! I took some pictures of it while I was there:

I run a 60" KKII behind my 26 HP engine, 23 HP PTO Mahindra. It handles it like a champ. In heavier clay or very rocky soils, I may have wanted to go with the 48", but I've been pleased so far.

Nice looking attachment. I'd like to have one and I don't even need it.

I bought the 60" model last month and my 30 hp kubota has handled it just fine so far. Covers the tracks like a champ and makes some great looking garden soil!
