Kioti NX5510, Kubota ZD326, (formerly owned Kubota B2910 and L3240)
I have a Kioti NX5510-HST. I had the dealer install a WR Long third function valve when it was purchased, but I am not sure it's plumbed correctly. My GL series Kubota could open/close the grapple simultaneously when curling the bucket on the FEL. But the Kioti is only one or the other. I'm not sure if that is as-designed, or if I have an incorrect install of the third function. I took a few pictures. Any thoughts? Red dotted line is going from the fel hydraulic block to the 3FV, and the return line appears to go up and behind the cab. IMG_1767.JPG Green dotted line is into the WR Long from the tractor source. Bad advice.

Looks like third function valve to me. Without being able to see the two other hoses (probably behind hoses or sub-plate) and a having a diagram (or at least the markings) of the sub-plate ports, it's impossible to say from the photo. If the ports are labeled, the P port should connect to the power beyond port of the loader valve and the T port should go to the 3-point. The A and B ports go to your implement (grapple?).

This diagram should help.

WR Long third function ...that rings a bell. There was another post on this recently where someone had issues too. Turned out it was plumbed wrong. Poor instructions? He had the dealer talk to the WR Long folks to figure it out. It was not over a month or so back either.

The hose coming from the loader valve is correct, can't tell if it enters the 3rd function block in the correct location or not though. As for being able to use the grapple and the loader at the same time , you have to feather the loader , if you have one of the loader valves completely open ( such as raising or lowering the loader arm or curling or dumping bucket, then no oil is going past the valve to feed the 3rd function.

My bet is that is what is happening here.

I checked the WR Long diagram, and it does appear to be plumbed correctly, both from the Loader valve source and into the WR Long valve. I will try the feathering, and appreciate the suggestion. This has me curious, though... My Kubota GL could be raising the FEL, trimming the Grapple angle, and opening/closing the Grapple, all simultaneously. Same WR Long 3FV. The L3240 had about 13-GPM hydraulic flow, and the Kioti is rated higher at 17-GPM. So, either there is a difference in the design of the loader valves, or maybe I have a malfunctioning one?

I think its the design of the loader valve, it took me a while to get where i could operate both functions of the loader on my NX, my kubota seemed to be a bit easier.

I think that typically Kubota has a better quality loader valve. The GPM that you are quoting is total flow, not implement flow. Both are a few (4-6) GPM less than what you are thinking. ;)

Still trying to figure out the baseline of this problem. Are other NX or DK owners able to raise/lower the FEL while simultaneously trimming the bucket? Even while feathering, I cannot. It's one or the other, no matter what I do.
