Kioti CK20HST
Was wondering if I put a woods BH70 with full frame on my Kioti CK20, then something brakes or cracks (as in trans housing), would Kioti or woods cover the warranty ? or neither ?
I can picture Kioti say it's not covered because I bolted on a non factory backhoe. And my kioti dealer no longer exist, so I don't expect any dealer support or help if this where to happen.

Guess you would have to get something in writing from both Woods and Kioti to be 100% sure. I have a 2008 Kioti CK35 HST with the Woods BH70-X backhoe with sub frame. It was installed by my dealer before delivery. Should there be any problem due to non abuse I would expect Kioti or Woods to stand by their warranty. :) I have a Woods sub frame on my Kioti that stays on when I take the backhoe off. Just because your dealer is not around does not mean you have lost your Kioti warranty. By the way the thumb  is the best part of the backhoe for me.

When I was going through my recent purchasing of a Kioti with a Woods backhoe I had the same question. The answer from my dealer was essentially this....

If the tractor breaks and it is a fault of the backhoe Woods will cover to repair the tractor and then warranty the broken components for the remainder of the tractor warranty period, or for two years whichever comes first. If the tractor breaks and its not caused by the backhoe Kioti will step up to the plate and repair the tractor.

At least this was my understanding, needless to say I was comfortable with taking his word for it. Hopefully in the end none of us ever need to go down that road anyway... As I would assume there would be substantial gray areas depending on the breakage.

Kioti will do nothing if the Woods backhoe creates the problem.
The only way Woods will stand behind it is if they have a sub frame mount for your model tractor.
You will also need to have a Woods dealer do the warranty work.
Just for your reference Woods does make the sub frame to install a 70X on the CK20:thumbsup:

Thanks Rick,
Yes I would be using the woods sub frame mount.
But what I am hearing is:

Kioti - "must have been caused by the after market backhoe you put on"
Woods - "Our design is sound, it is a flaw in the tractor"
In other words, putting a woods backhoe on voids the Kioti warranty.

I am real close to ditching this CK20 in favor of a Cub/Yanmar, No "he said, she said" that way.

You are assuming there is going to be a problem. I suspect there are many Woods backhoes on Kioti's and no problems with the sub frame. Any tractor and or backhoe manufacturer can have problems. As mentioned in my earlier post I have the Woods BH70-X on my CK35, it never even entered my mind that there could be a problem. I have the Woods sub frame for mounting the Woods backhoe, same as what you are thinking. It was installed by my dealer, he is not going to put something on my tractor that will void its warranty, I don't think so. It was designed to fit the Kioti. Why are you so concerned about this? :confused2:
Guess you could also put on a Kioti backhoe?

My concern is I no longer have dealer support, I was going to buy the backhoe from the dealer that sold me the CK20.

" Any tractor and or backhoe manufacturer can have problems. "
So when/if something goes wrong with the tractor, it is me vs Kioti.
I agree that the woods looks like a well engineered unit, but putting one on voids the Kioti warranty if there is ever any stress related problems with the Tractor.

You had the dealer that sold you the tractor install the backhoe, I no longer have that option. The Kioti BH is not an option ( piss poor frame design)

You have obviously had problems with your Kioti equipment. Sorry to hear this.

I have 530 hours on my tractor of which 300 hours has been KB2465 backhoe time digging stumps with no problems for the backhoe. It's done a real fine job for me.

Not sure where you live. There are, to my understanding 200 or more dealers in the USA. Find another one that is in your area. My dealer is in Oregon and I am in British Columbia, Canada. I have had minor issues with the Woods and Kioti. I phone him and he looks after me. Other dealers will look after the Kioti warranty you just need to find one. Post the area you live in and someone should be able to steer you to a dealer in your area. :):):)

Central MD,
I am sure the kioti BH is Fine, I just do not want 7' of frame hooked to it when it is removed.
