What is involved in installing a Kioti KB2375 backhoe on a DK35. Is it hard to do?

Does anyone recommend buying the backhoe attachement at he same time as the tractor? I would like to wait due to budget constraints /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I have decided I'm going to buy the backhoe but it's just a matter of when.

depends on how mechanicaly minded you are..
do you have tools?
A concrete floor is nice to work on.
the draw bar asembly will need to be changed.(this comes with the back-hoe.) .....
there will be another "cross member" under the loader frame to install. (also included with the hoe).
It is eiser to install this "cross member" and draw bar assembly BEFORE you put the loader frame on.
I can do all this in about 8 hours... My mechanic can do this in about 4 hours unless I help him, then we are back to 8 hours again!
The hoe will a snap to put on and off after you get the machine put together.
Hope I helped.

It's only hard to do if the holes don't line up when you're trying to assemble the parts, and this is common with the company that makes Kioti's BH. The tolerances are not great and there will generally be "something" that doesn't line up.
Assuming the install is equal to the CK20 with that BH, the loader frame can be installed already, the BH brackets install on the bottom of the loader brackets up front and to the draw bar replacement as Virgil said. I don't understand why he said assemble the cross member before the loader as the BH brackets hang down in front off the loader bracket, and the draw bar mount at the back has nothing to do with the loader. Those two brackets are all the additions of hardware you'll make. Once you have all the parts assembled on the BH and the brackets on the tractor, you'll need to install the hydro connections at the valve block's (that runs the loader) power beyond. The hoses connect from inside the BH controls, run up into the subframe and out the front end to connect to that valve block.
Now if it's different than the CK20, I'm sure it's similar.
If you've never done it, and are mechanically inclined, you should be able to do it, however, I recommend you have it installed as there will invariably be some parts missing from the company that makes the BH for Kioti.
Generally most members have posted that it's less expensive to buy the BH at the time you buy the tractor. It seems most deals are made by giving breaks on the attachments, and if you're getting 0% or reduced financing, it won't make so much difference to the bottom line that it would be a great problem.
You may consider asking about getting a Woods Backhoe instead if you decide to install it yourself. Their tolerances seem to be much better and the parts are always there (accroding to a couple of Woods/Kioti sellers). John

I bought my backhoe still on the crate (Rhino 85) and installed the mounting hardware, subframe, bucket and hydraulic hose kit myself.
Saved a considerable amount of money doing it this way and had no problem with assembly or mounting.

I suspect that Kioti would have done better to stay with Rhino for their backhoes. The ones they're getting now work well, but as I said, the tolerances leave something to be desired. John

As for tollerances, most of the problem is paint. I have installed aprox. 35 backhoes this year and found that if I take 5 minutes and run a reamer through all the holes everything goes very smooth the rest of the way. When you have pieces welded by a robot they are very precise but not perfect. I have found the same problems when assembling the Rhinos and other brands as well. The reamer will make life much easier for you.

I'm glad to hear you're having a better time than my dealer with these. I've been out there many times when he's been putting a loader on, and you can look through the holes and see almost a half moon. Now that's a bad tolerance!
I agree that many times it IS the paint. I've had to do some paint grinding on my Kioti loader as well, and on backhoe buckets too. John

The dk35 does use a full bracket in the front unlike the ck20

Hi John,
The secret is to put it together very loosly so you can move things and make them line up. After everthing is assembled you can now go around and tighten everything. Don't get me wrong, every once in a while there will be one that you cuss at but for the most part they are pretty trouble-free.

Kioti Dave hit the nail on the head
Assemble the machine (loader/hoe) loosly then go around and tighten everything up. use a tork wrench---not an impact, and I use some loktight everywhere.
"dress up" or ream all the holes and run a tap into every bolt hole. It pays off in the end.
I find it eiser to put the machine together THEN put on the tires and wheels last.
