Kioti Cash Back in Canada

So I have some pricing from my Kioti dealer on a DK40SE...in CAD, of course. He's putting in the $5300 "cash back" discount. When I pointed out that their website explicitly says all values in USD, shouldn't my discount be more (5300 USD ~ 5800 CAD) I was told that Kioti only pays them 5300 CAD for the discount.

I know (and despise) the fact that we always pay more north of the border, but does that not seem hypocritical by Kioti to not discount using the same formula? I deal with US suppliers and Canadian customers daily and if I charge based on an certain exchange I better well discount in the same manner or I wouldn't have those customers much longer. Any other canucks run into this?

Back when he was the Minnesotan Governor, Jesse Ventura once threatened to call up the Minnesota National Guard and annex Canada. All was going well with the plan until it was pointed out that we didn't want the French Canadians either. :laughing:

So I got a call from the dealer today, they have reviewed their quote and admitted making a mistake, and that the discount will indeed be converted to CAD ($5725, 1 USD = 1.08 CAD). Um, almost correct anyways. I'm thinking this was more because they haven't heard from me in a few days as I've been out on the road and my bank is dragging its feet.

Glad you stuck with it. And also glad that Kioti was big enough to admit their mistake. Good job on both sides of this issue.

Yes I'm definitely pleased that they double-checked things again. No if I can just get the bank to do their job....

I'm interested in this DK40SE HST model as well so would appreciate it if you could share the pre-tax price you negotiated (including tractor, FE loader, with cash-back discount). I was quoted $28,500 before tax which I'm thinking is too high for this unit.
