B2650
So I'm trying to find out if I can live with a two range (low / hi) tractor. My first choice is the kubtoa B2650 cause it has a mid range and a lot of things I like. My second choice at the moment is the kioti ck2510, as it has good weight, some nice specs, and a way better price.

However, I cannot find the top speed of the low range for the ck2510 to see how it overlaps with the mid range on other models. Based on some of my tasks I get the feeling the mid range might make life nicer, but am not sure. I don't think you can do any work in high range, so i'm assuming low will have to cover all my tasks.

I do want to do a lot of fel digging and dirt moving. But if I have to move a lot of dirt over a modest distance I dont want to feel like i'm crawling back and forth to the dirt pile.

Not sure if it's in an owners manual, and I couldnt find one to download.

Thanks for your input !

I don't know about the two range, I have a 3510. I would guess the top speed on mine in low range is about 5 mph. I find I use low and mid range mostly and rarely in high. I think the 3 range is preferred.
What are you planning to use it for? Do you have a lot of hills? Have you priced the ck3510? It's not much more. I'm really happy with my Kioti.

According to a CK2810 Manual I found, it's around 6.09 forward and 4.26 backwards. I'm not that much into Kioti but doesn't look that this model is that much different from the CK2510, other than the HP I suppose.

High range is pretty much unable to be used for any sort of work task. You have VERY little ability to push/pull/go up any slope in high range. You would only use low range while performing any work at all beyond rolling down the road or slight sloped pasture/driveway. Mid range is the go-to range in the B2650 for mowing and light loader work. Low range is only used when you really need to pull slow or push the loader harder into a pile. I use mid range 75% of the time on the BB2650. Look at the 2610 Kioti if you want to compare apples to apples with the B2650.

Ouch. A max "working" speed of only 2.5 mph sounds very painful, even 3 mph would be painful. It seems that I would have to low gear up a bucket load of dirt, then shift to high to run it to the dirt pile, come back, shift again, repeat.

Then there is the slow mowing most likely.

Hmm.

I'd be surprised if you would move around in high like you think. You'll likely be abusing the HST and making it scream/whine to even try to do so.

I had a BX25D and initially thought like you until I learned that high gear real only worked out on pavement that is relatively level. Much slope to the road and you stop and drop back to low range.

Don't expect to be able to use high range much at all.

That is one (of multiple) reason that I bought my BX and sold my BX in very short time. It was an extremely unsatisfying machine in many ways for my use.
