Kioti ck27 front axle oil

I am doing my 50 hour service. The fluid that came out of the front axle looks like no other 90w gear oil I have ever seen. It is crystal clear in color, like water, not the usual off brown, and it feels like much less viscous than 90w, although the day is very warm, and most of all, it does not have that distinctive gear oil smell. I bought some 80-90w multi purpose gear lubricant by Traveller at Tractor Supply but know I am hesitant to use it. I didn't drain the axle, as soon as I saw the fluid I put the plug back in. Any help?

Apparently Kioti fills them with the same hydraulic fluid as in the rear. When I did my 50 hour service, I just went back with hydraulic fluid as I already had it on hand for the rest of the tractor. Gear or hydraulic oil is in the specs.

I actually bought gear oil to do my DK50 front axle. While draining the old, I decided to go ahead and use UTF. I suspect the gear oil is marginally better but it just seemed simpler to stay with a single fluid.

The book says 90 w gear lube and I'm sticking with it since I got 2000 hrs. before replacing seals or bearing in my last tractor that was never out of 4wd and used under extreme conditions. The dealer told me some Kioti's come with the UTF but recommended gear lube.
