Buying Advice kioti ck30

i am in the market for buying my first tractor.i am looking at a 2007 ck 30 it has a bucket and a backhoe.i will be using it mostly for a small farm set up;moving dirt,hauling fire woodetc.they are askig 15000 which is neg.it has 312 hrs.what do you think?let me know

The cross tube on the loader(just above the bucket) had a defect and the mount would start cracking at the bolt holes. Kioti issued an upgrade kit, a plate that fits over it which solved the problem.

Other than that the Ck30 is a stout tractor. I owned one, but traded up to a DK40 because I needed more FEL lift capacity. I had no issues with mine at all.

2007 is right about when they switched to a new loader design. In the new design the loader cross member is cylindrical, passes through the loader arms and is welded on their outside. On the old design, the cross member is more rectangular and does not pass through the arms. For the old style, you have to remove the access plate to check for cracks. Kioti did come out with a fix for the old style. You'll know if that's on there because there are many bolts that attach it. This too would have to be removed to inspect for cracks. If it's old style and the fix isn't installed, I'd ask the seller to inquired about getting the fix kit. He'd probably have success with Kioti. The second owner may not.

Price is good assuming the loader is sound.

That set up new should have been around $21-22,000. $15k is reasonable, especially with those hours. Ask about the service. The first filters and oils service should have been done at 50 hours with engine every 100hrs and hydro filters every 200hrs. Kioti wants 400hrs on the hydro fluid change after initial change at 50. If it hasn't been done, the filters and fluids would cost you around $250 with your labor. Something for price negotiating.
I have a 2005 KL130 loader and have yet to get any cracks at the bolt holes for the inspection plate. I'm not sure why I haven't because I do use the loader. The cracks that do appear on some are small and I don't believe they are a safety factor and could be easily repaired if needed providing you can do general welding. So if the price works out good, I wouldn't be affraid to buy it.

I have a 2008 CK35 HST with a Woods 7ft backhoe with 360 hours. I can tell you I would not be selling mine that cheap. Some area's do have different pricing but for $15,000. and if it's in good shape and with a backhoe I think it's a good buy.

thanks for all the great feedback.what a wealth of knowledge you all have.i did not know anything about the crossmember on the loader,either did the seller.he has changed the oil at 200hrs.i will be going down to look at it on 2/29.hopefully it willstill be available,he has had 3 other inquries about it.well i guess ill just keep my fingers crossed cause ill probably make him an offer.thanks again all.i will be letting you know how i made out.

One question that should be asked is: WHY ARE YOU SELLING IT? What warranty work has been done, what other repairs have been needed? Those answers may tell you alot + or -.
