Interesting that the CK3510 and CK4010 engines are Tier 4 but the CK2610 engine (3A165LWM) is spec'd with Tier 3 on the OEM's web site.

That would be normal operation for all brands. Engines 26 HP and below do not need to conform to Tier 4 specs.

Yeah the lower HP model came out just after I got my CK3510. Saving a few grand would have been neat, but I wouldn't go down in horsepower at all so I am happy with my purchase. If anything I would have gone for the 4010 in hindsight, especially since they are the same engine, just up-tuned.

Also keep in mind if you would have gone with the ck2610 you would have the 2610 loader which is significantly lower lift capacity.

True story.

The 3 point lift cap is the same, but the loaders are different units.

KL2610 Loader = 1252lbs
KL4010 Loader = 1835lbs (583lbs more)

This was not enough for me to jump into the 35 or 40.


EDIT: I just found last years KL4010 loader lift cap is stated as 1153lbs, with all other numbers including weight of 840, being the same. That is real odd.

The KL2610 loader also weighs 100lbs MORE than the KL2610. Even more odd!

Whatever Tier the CK2610 is I confirmed in person and hands on, there is no particulate filter and no regeneration mode.

I had the same problem with the DPF except it would run through the cycle when it didn't need too, and wouldn't stop. And I would have no power, I only had 15 hrs on it when it started to do this, and it would do it when it was cold outside! Below zero. I sent mine back they put in a warmer thermostat, and they adjusted a valve. Haven't had no trouble. But it's warmer outside, time will tell. I don't get why they put dpf on a tractor, I had a Deere a 2010, 3032 it didn't have that, and never had any trouble with it. Can someone tell me what the purpose of putting this on a tractor is, I don't get it.

DPF's on tractors are to meet Tier IV emissions standards on tractors over 26 horsepower mandated by the EPA.

Don't worry. Soon gasoline engines will have Gas Particulate Filters GPF's. so everyone will enjoy this technology. They will start rolling out on some 2018 model cars. Stand by.

They might as well start putting on catylac converters on snowblowers, It's so stupid, your still burning it off, before or after what difference does it make, and it's not like it's running all day everyday, just something to go wrong, and from what I have heard, a lot are having problems with this,kioti needs to look into this problem and fix it.

You're changing the chemical composition.

Having some older VW TDIs and cleaning EGR valves and intakes I could make the argument that the servicing of all this stuff is likely going to negate any positives that it's supposed to achieve. Human hubris, as humans we're pretty much stuck with it...
